Queer, transgender, flamingly autistic author and educator, Dr Nick Walker is best known for her book Neuroqueer Heresies as well as her foundational work on the neurodiversity paradigm and Neuroqueer Theory. She will be appearing on the ITAKOM virtual stage next year.
Nick is a professor of psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies, Managing Editor of the worker-owned indie publishing house Autonomous Press, and senior aikido instructor at the Aiki Arts Center in Berkeley, California. Where does she find the time to do it all?
We sat down with Nick this week to discover more about her work and find out exactly what she’ll be discussing next year at ITAKOM.
Nick also co produces an urban fantasy webcomic called Weird Luck.
