This week, we spoke with Dee Baker, Founder of Elements of Empowerment, an Irish organisation that delivers interactive and creative resilience-building programs enabling people to nurture their personal growth.
Dee tells us how caring professionals, and carers in a family capacity, can build resilience, practice self-care, and develop healthy boundaries. We also hear about how she originally came to this work following years of volunteering and working with charities at home in Ireland, as well as further afield in India and Peru.
Elements of Empowerment design and deliver tailor-made online or in-person group and individual resilience-building programs for caring professionals, educational settings, community groups and individuals.
The programs are designed to be creative and interactive, applying evidence-based practices from cognitive behavioural therapy, emotional intelligence, and mindfulness. Workshops focus on building self-compassion, empathy, communication skills and mindfulness practices.
